America’s Best Dance Crew

MTV’s dance competition “America’s Best Dance Crew” has been a series I have been addicted to from the start.urbanlandmedia.com Growing up in New York City during a time when break-dancing was on the scene is no wonder why I love the show so much. ABDC is the only dance competition I know that captures the true essence and spirit of the urban experience. It’s a show that combines music, all forms of urban dance styles, and the realness beyond urban dance.

The talent that has crossed the stage of ABDC has been extraordinary. I have been captivated each time I watch. However, it’s season 2′s crew “Fanny Pak” who I believe is the reason I am now obsessed with the show. The creativity they brought to the stage was fresh, new, and electric. When they ended up finishing 3rd, I was disappointed but hoped they would continue to shine. I was disappointed because I was positive they were going to win.

Yesterday was the start of a new season of “ABDC” and it was a thrill to be watching it again. To my surprise my favorite dance crew of all-time returned to fight for what was in my opinion rightfully theirs, champions of “America’s Best Dance Crew.” This year they look sharper than ever and have some new additions to their crew. “Fanny Pak’s” return gave me goose-bumps. I respect and admire this crew and from what I can tell they are back with a vengeance.

If you haven’t watched ABCD before, I believe this is the year to do it. The talent and dancing I witnessed last night excels far beyond previous seasons. If last night’s premiere is any indication of how the rest of the season is going to be, we’re in for a treat!
