I was surprised to learn of the death of Dick Clark. Similar to Don Cornelius, Dick Clark is responsible for bringing music to television to a generation who loved “American Bandstand.”
Dick Clark will also be known as the king of New Year’s Eve. As a young boy growing up in New York, watching the ball drop with Dick Clark was a household tradition for me. From year to year, I was excited to see Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve show because it meant it was the one night of the year I could stay up late. I had some of the best New Year’s Eves as a child watching Dick Clark’s Rockin New Year’s Eve specials. Even as an adult, his signature show marked the beginning of a new year in my life.
Year after year, it was Dick Clark who came into my home and helped me celebrate a new year. He will be missed. Thank you Dick Clark, New Year’s will never be the same without you!

So many great memories with Dick Clark. A lot of life and business lessons too. (You can find a list of some below.) Thanks for sharing and paying tribute to him.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Mr. Clark was a part of our culture and a true icon! New Years Eve is a big Rockin party because of Dick Clark. He will be missed!
Yes he will!
