What comes to mind when you hear, “living a rich life”? Do you automatically think of money? I’m betting most people do. After all, if you have a lot of money you can buy things, go places, make sure your bills are paid, decrease your financial worries significantly. Question is, “are you truly happy?”
Some individuals believe that living the high life is the only way to go. Rich with money. One would assume that when you have a lot of money you have a significant decrease in worry. Not always true. I know plenty of people with tons of money who are sad, lonely, and self-destructive. Why is that?
Being rich isn’t all about having the most money or the finest things, it’s more about feeling “rich” about yourself. When you feel happy and self confident inside anything is possible. Putting yourself in a positive frame of mind can make your life feel rich in so many ways. Have you ever heard that saying, “I’d rather die poor and happy than rich and sad?” Well, I’m sure none of us want to be poor, but the analogy is a good one. Feeling happy and secure in yourself can and will lead to a better, richer you. When people are happy, confident and love themselves, the price and value of that has much more meaning than the mighty dollar bill.
Think about this, if you feel awesome about yourself, you will be more relaxed allowing your creative and productive juices to flow steadily and freely. A person’s mind is not bogged down with negativity and poor quality when you allow yourself to open up to positive thinking every day. The real secret to richness doesn’t lay in the monetary value of paper with numbers on it, it lays in the mind and hearts of each individual. Every person has the ability and the personal means to create a “rich” life for themselves. Set your goals and go after them. Start every single day of your life with positive affirmations; then end every day the same way. By starting and ending your days and nights with positive thoughts and affirmations, you will be sending signals to your heart, brain and the universe saying you want to be happy and positive. Don’t let yourself fall in to the poorness of life. Give yourself the best gift you can, the richness of a happy, secure, confident and loving life. You may be amazed at how different things in your life become. Instead of dwelling in the negative, you will be opening yourself up to a full, happy and much richer life.
Money is definitely necessary in life. We all need it. We have to pay our bills, keep a roof over our head, in some cases make sure our children and family are provided for. Money can also give us that instant gratification that some people seek to gain instant happiness. That’s o.k., if that’s what you really want. However, wouldn’t life be so much better if you could find that richness inside yourself. The richness that leads to full, happy, productive and positive living. Don’t rip yourself off by mistaking the value of the dollar for richness, when the real richness comes from within.
