As the spring weather sets in, I realize more and more that New York City is a canvas of colors. As I sat on my balcony today watching pedestrians pass by and checking out the tulips and tree buds, I noticed the vibrant sense of color that inspires me. Exposing the vibrancy of various colors is what drives me to use white as a base color for Urban FLRT t-shirts. Using a white background allows me to create pieces of work that shout energy and life through the use of color.
New York City has always been an inspiration for me because it’s a canvas that is forever changing especially in the spring; a splash of color here, a splash of color there. The colors of the city represent the energy of the season and the various cultures that make it an exciting environment in which to live. That’s why I call New York City, a canvas of colors.
