The Middle Finger T-Shirt Design

After a long debate with my team, we have FINALLY been able to agree on a design I believe embodies the true urban experience. We all experience ups and downs in our lives but it’s our struggles, challenges, doubts and failures that create our ultimate “urban” experiences.

At first, when you see the shirt design you might consider it to be done in distaste and represent negative energy. However, it was created with good intention because I have lived through and survived the darkness of dark times in my life. I am no longer a victim. I have become a survivor.

The Urban FLRT – Middle Finger t-shirt for me symbolizes so much. It’s letting my overzealous ego know that I am beginning to recognize my many achievements without it’s guidance. For years I have ignored the power within but today I realize it’s me who is in control and not my ego. My ego has guided me in so many wrong directions, lead me into the darkest of places but now I am free. (Thank you Oprah Winfrey and Oprah’s Life Class facilitators). You all played a part in this recent discovery. I believe I have walked out of darkness’ shadow and into the light because I learned how not to be addicted to my story, be grateful, accept the present moment, ignore my ego and it’s negative perceptions. I am a spiritual being having a human experience.

Today, I accept my past, acknowledge the present but release the future. As I wrote this post, I realized I have truly walked through the shadow of darkness. When you walk though it, the creative mind takes over and you realize the importance and power of sharing our experiences. I am a work in progress but I continue to share my deepest desires with each of you hoping it helps you strive for excellence.

I affirm my greatness when I share my life story and journey in hopes it inspires, motivates, and encourages others. “If YOU want to see change in the world, then you have to be the change you want to see!”

Trust me, I didn’t arrive to this place over night. Each new chapter to my story reveals itself each day. It’s the awareness that I am on a spiritual journey that allows me to share and be free of my pain. Can I get an AMEN!

The following shirt does not symbolize FU or F the World, it simply celebrates my life, my life’s journey and recent growth. I am no longer trapped in a world of darkness. I am starting to enter into a world of endless possibilities. Most importantly, it was created because I have faith and believe in a positive future. My recent design choice is my way of telling all the negative egos in the world that we all have had enough! “Ego, I have no use for you!”

I truly have discovered what it takes to be happy and it starts within me. “If you want to be happy, make someone else happy!” A direct quote from Deepak Chorpa. It’s my deepest desire to show others that no matter your situation or circumstance, you have the power to change who, what, and where your life ends up. The past is gone, the future is not here yet so release it and enjoy the present!
