If so,I have a date-movie that may convince you that your relationship is just wright! UrbanLand Media was honored when we were asked to participate in a conference call with the well-known artist, Common who has also recently become a recognizable actor in blockbuster movies.

The interview was to promote his new endeavor, “Just Wright,” a modern day Cinderella story for those NBA lovers. During the conference call, I began to understand why movies that have romance, love, and dating are so successful. It’s not that having fairy tale endings to our own romance stories fascinates us. It’s that we are looking for the relationship that is “Just Right!”

Although the title of the movie is based on Common’s character it was the title that sparked another one of my “aha moments.” For decades we have become so fixated on finding our “soul-mate” when what we truly desire is finding a relationship that is just right and fulfills all our basic needs we call love.

After speaking with Common I gained a new found level of respect for a man who typically because of stereo-types would have you believe he had little understanding or appreciation for the foundation for love or what it takes to make a relationship work. However, with every question he was able to deliver answers I believe no man who isn’t Dating Smart… Dating for Success could truly answer.

Common displayed a human quality that women from coast to coast seek in a man. I believe a person with such a depth and understanding of relationships can only deliver a stellar performance as a man who falls in love with a female physical therapist who helps him recover from a career-threatening injury making him the new prince charming.

“Just Wright” is the classic Cinderella story and with a cast like Paula Patton, Queen Latifah, Pam Grier, Common, Mehcad Brook it’s sure to be a date movie worth seeing.
